Okra water seems really easy to make, you just soak the pods of okra in water, and everything is done. One cuts the pods to release the seeds and the slimy stuff inside them (mucilage is the proper word for that stuff). After that one leaves them in the water between eight hours and a whole day one filters the pods and drinks what stays.
To prepare it, you do not need anything special: only filtered water and pods of okra, whether fresh or frozen from the store.
How to Make Okra Water and What It May Do
Making the okra water is very simple. Take around five average pods of okra and wash them under the tap. Keep them and cut both ends, later slice them long through the center.
Put them in a glass full of water and leave them to stand. For a smaller amount. For instance, around 16 ounces, four to five pods will do.
Water at room temperature works best. Do not put it in the fridge, so that the flavors can come out. In the morning, you pour everthing through a strainer and drink the liquid.
