A UTV or a Utility Terrain Vehicle is designed to help haul supplies and equipment to other locations where it is possible to use a truck. These are built to accommodate a passenger seat, with a lot of space for storage.

There are different UTVs, but the most popular is the Kioti Mechron. These are similar to ATVs, with comfortable side-by-side seats in an open cockpit.

Buying the right UTV is often a challenging choice. While Kioti offers a great option for UTVs through their Mechron series, individuals have complained about experiencing problems with it.

If you consider yourself among these users, this article should help you figure it out. So, without wasting any time further, let’s get started!

Kioti Mechron Problems

One of the most common problems that you can run into while using a Kioti Mechron is wiring problems. Many users have complained about certain wiring problems since their UTV stopped functioning.

Defective switches or wiring problems

You will have to check for all the wires to fix this manually. What you should be looking for are any signs of potential damage.

It is also worth mentioning that a bad wire can cause all sorts of issues. Therefore, checking voltage or power while checking the wires would be safe.

  1. Issues with the Brake

Another common problem that you can run into while using the UTV is the brakes. Surely, we can all agree on how annoying it can get to have your brakes not work when you push the pedal to stop.

Checking the brakes will require you to manually spot any damaged or faulty component that could be causing the issue to surface.

Likewise, if you are having a hard time trying to spot the issue, then you should try contacting a verified professional. That way, you should have a much better chance of getting the brakes fixed.

It is common to run into engine issues, especially if you are trying to operate any farming-related equipment. However, if you end up with engine-related problems on your Kioti Mechron, the spark plugs are the first that you should check.

A spark plug can potentially get damaged if the vehicle is not maintained. Luckily, a simple replacement should fix if that is what’s causing issues with the engine.

Likewise, any problems with the fuel filter clogged can also result in the engine not performing well.

  1. Keeps Losing Power

A common complaint that we have heard many users have is that the UTV keeps on losing power, especially on terrain with a certain height. If you notice your engine loses control or starts jerking, then you will have to perform a thorough inspection.

  1. Fuel Supply Obstruction

Another potentially dangerous problem can be caused by a simple blockage in the fuel supply. If that is the case, you will have to replace any clogged or damaged parts that could restrict fuel flow.

To unclog and clean fuel, you’ll have to begin cleaning the filter.

Once you have done that, it is time to check any components inside the tank or tubing. It would help if you also looked at the carburetor to ensure nothing gets stuck there.

  1. I’m trying to find a service manual. My Mechron intermitently stops responding to the accellerator, i.e., the engine won’t rev. I can let it rest then it works fine upon restart a few minutes later. The engine light comes on and emits a code 43 (4 long blinks then 3 short blinks). My research indicates it’s probably a Throttle Control Sensor issue. But can someone please advise what code 43 means. Thank you!
